Opis semiparametrického odhadu, ktorý má asymptoticky normálnu distribúciu a ktorý možno ľahko vypočítať. Odhad sa opiera o techniky regresie jadra. Konštrukcia reprezentácie optimálnej šírky pásma pre skalárne prediktory.
